At Metstrade 2026, the international boat show for professionals in the marine industry, Wichard presents two new products to add to its catalogue: aluminium soft attach padeyes and the Origin Bracelet. Two products that showcase the brand's expertise and its strong connection to its heritage.

Aluminium soft attach padeyes: lightweight and versatile
A new addition to the Wichard catalogue, these aluminium padeyes for soft attachments meet the needs of sailors looking for high performance, weight savings and sleek aesthetics.
Designed to adapt to a wide range of onboard configurations, they can be used as fixed attachment points or as fairleads for running lines. Their versatility makes them suitable for a variety of applications, including attachment points for soft-attached blocks or low-friction rings, reefing line leads, attachment points for jacklines and lifelines, as well as fairleads for tack lines and halyards.
Their refined design helps protect the deck and minimise rope chafe. Compact and lightweight, they offer a space-saving design with optimised weight, without compromising on aesthetics.
The range includes five models, each available in either screw-mounted or threaded-stud versions, to suit different installation requirements.
Origin Bracelet: a tribute to Wichard's heritage and expertise
Following the success of the Onboard bracelet, Wichard unveils the Origin Bracelet, a new creation inspired by the pentagon featured in its original logo. Through this iconic shape, the brand pays tribute to its heritage and over a century of expertise.
Each side of the pentagon evokes a sensory experience from a journey through the forge: the deep, powerful sound of drop hammers, the slightly acrid smell of steel, tantalising the tongue and nostrils, the incandescent glow of a piece heated to extreme temperatures, and the surprising smoothness of a polished product between the blacksmith's rough fingers… Behind the simplicity of an elegant shape lies a living story, one that began over a century ago and is far from reaching its end.
The Origin Bracelet combines a 316L stainless steel pentagon, offering high corrosion resistance, with a cord manufactured in France, in Vertolaye, just 40 km from Wichard's Thiers facility. The cord is made by Gauthier Fils, a specialist in braids, cords and laces, drawing on 150 years – five generations – of braiding expertise.
Available in navy blue, powder pink or vibrant orange, Origin can be adjusted to fit any wrist size thanks to its two sliding knots. A creation that brings together industrial heritage and French manufacturing. Onboard, Origin, or both? Which piece of history will you choose to wear?
