We were delighted to share the Mini adventure alongside Quentin Mocudet, 2024 French Champion and runner-up in the Series category of the 2025 Mini Transat. We are proud to renew our partnership with him as he steps up to the Figaro class!
Deck hardware scaled to the boat’s proportions
By moving to a Figaro, Quentin is broadening his horizons on a hull over 10 meters long, that is almost twice the size of a Mini 6.50!
Fully satisfied with his Wichard deck hardware in 2025, the young skipper has selected new equipment combining reliability and performance, perfectly suited to the dimensions of his new boat:
- Ref. 11604: MXEvo blocks with captive pin, ideal for high-load maneuvers (Ø 8 mm)
- Ref. 10194: the ever-reliable Offshore Rescue knife (red, to be bold!)
- Ref. 6664: white stick-on padeyes, simple and efficient solutions for light-duty fastenings
- Ref. 36020: two soft snatch blocks for 10 mm lines, designed for high loads
In Figaro racing, the level is extremely competitive, and races are often decided by the smallest margins. In this context, having reliable equipment is essential to secure a strong position in the rankings.
A key objective just ahead: La Solitaire du Figaro 2026!
Barely settled into his new boat, Quentin has already launched his season:
- Solo Guy Cotten
- Trophée Laura Vergne (March)
- Trophée BPGO (April)
- La Solitaire du Figaro (May–June)
- Double Madère (August–September)
Unfortunately, Quentin was forced to retire before the finish of the Solo Guy Cotten. Nevertheless, he comes away stronger and enriched by valuable experience.
In 2026, the second stage of the Figaro will finish in Pornichet, where part of the Wichard team is based. They are already looking forward to cheering Quentin on from the pontoons!
