Wichard sets sail with Quentin Mocudet & Antonin Chapot in the Mini Transat 2025

On Sunday, September 21st at 3:30 pm, the starting signal for the La Boulangère Mini Transat 2025 was given in Les Sables d’Olonne. Among the 90 sailors taking part, we are especially proud to support two skippers: Quentin Mocudet (n°986 – Saveurs et Délices) and Antonin Chapot (n°1043 – Espérances Banlieues).

Aboard their Mini 6.50 – the smallest boat designed to cross the Atlantic single-handed – they are embarking on an extraordinary journey.

A unique adventure lies ahead: over 4,000 nautical miles in two stages, from Les Sables d’Olonne to La Palma (Canary Islands), and then from Santa Cruz de La Palma to Saint-François (Guadeloupe). With no contact with the shore, the Mini Transat remains one of the most demanding races in the offshore sailing calendar.

The Wichard Team warmly thanks the Mocudet Team for welcoming us on board Messaline to experience the start of the race from the front row, right alongside the fleet.

We are also grateful to Quentin and Antonin for their availability on Saturday, September 20th, the day before the start. Despite a busy schedule, they generously shared a few extra minutes with us, along with their always contagious smiles!

Antonin even showed us where he had installed his latest gear: small and practical Ronstan blocks.

Originally from Auvergne, Antonin will visit the Wichard factory in Thiers in early December. He will meet our team, along with a few privileged clients, to share the story of his adventure.
